I remember on Boy Scout campouts we used to cram all sorts of food in paper cups. The cleanup was easy- simply dispose the cup in the fire. I've eaten French fries from a cup, oatmeal from a cup, and, best of all, pie from a cup.
I spotted this waffle-in-a-mug poster at A&W in Malacca, Malaysia. Waffles aren't a food that I'd normally associate with mugs, but whose to say we don't need a new trend. It sure is convenient!

WAFFLE IN A CUP

Yeah, I saw this in December. It made no sense whatsoever. For the convenience of having a waffle ripped up and placed into a mug, oh and chocolate chips, it is more expensive than regular, plated waffles.
And from my vantage point (right next to the SS13 Subang Jaya A&W desert bar), they use premade, possibly cold waffles for that gimmick. Not freshly made.
I spent a bunch of hours in that A&W that post-Christmas night, but I saw not one soul getting a Waffle in a Mug. Tough crowd that night? Who knows.
Oh, alright, in defense of those who bought it to try it, I'm sure there are people with an insatiable curiosity and a spare RM4. Like me.
Actually, come to think about it, it is pure genius.
(Genius in the sense of people like me buying Waffle in a Mug to find out whether it tastes like rootbeer. BTW, it doesn't.)
I'll stop spamming now.
At first, I thought it was waffles in rootbeer. That didn't seem right....
